To put the puzzle back in the box or not?

I usually show off my sewing but I've been talking with a fellow blogger about this idea and decided to post about it. Putting a puzzle in a frame for wall art. When we first moved in I had 3 coffee cup framed prints that I had in our dining room and then I found this puzzle. I was just going to put it together like any other puzzle and then I got the idea to put it on the wall. But Lexie has to be original and had to do it a little bit different. I bought a section frame for custom fit, a piece of foam core board, glass, took out some edge pieces and Waa-Laa! A new piece of wall art.
If it was the right puzzle, would you put this up on your wall or is it just to much?

++++

And I was also talking with a friend about mixing decorating styles such as modern & Victorian or country & traditional. We decided that we can do this if there is a common denominator such as matching chairs with different fabric or one room could be one style while the next different.
What do you think, yes to mixing styles or no?

Re: puzzle wall art... if it were the right puzzle I think it would make good, inexpensive wall art. I think it's kind of one of those decorations that is special to show off if one has worked on it themselves. Make sense? In other words, I don't think that I would personally buy or fully appreciate a piece of puzzle wall art unless I found and put together the puzzle myself.

re: mixed decorating styles... yes! Are you talking about combining styles within the same room, or within the whole house? Both are possible and can look good, depending on how it's done.

I see how your puzzle idea came together. That is really cool. Looks good. I was thinking something to the same idea except maybe mod podge it to a canvas while leaving a few loose pieces stuck to the mat with a cute quote. Haven't tried it yet. Waiting til I get some nursery furniture before I try to decorate too much. Getting the itch though. As for mixing styles I think it is completely necessary when decorating to your own tastes. Never do I like everything to be completely one style. Mixing them all together is what makes a unique style into your own!

I like the puzzle! As far as decorating, my bare walls could use some help in that department. Interested in what others think as well.

I think you're one of the most creative people I know. I would give a loaf of homemade bread for an ounce of your creativity.

I like the puzzle, and definitely think you can use it in your kitchen decor! As to mixing up styles, I think you can to a point, but not too much, or the whole house tends to lose it's "flow," if that makes sense. I like each room to have it's one character, but also for there to be something that ties the house together. But bedrooms can be their own separate, different thing, in my opinion. Not that I know much!

And now i'm thinking even more of how add/take away and decorate my rooms.

Thanks a bunch!
